The GiftSpark browser extension is a companion that lets you save gift ideas from any website with one click, auto-detect product details, and track events and budgets — syncing to your account through Google sign-in. It captures gift inspiration where you find it, outside the main app.

What it does​

  • Save gift ideas — one click saves an item you're viewing on any site.
  • Smart product detection — automatically extracts the product name, price, and image so you don't retype.
  • Right-click to save — a context-menu action saves from anywhere on a page.
  • Event reminders — keep birthdays and anniversaries in view so a saved idea turns into a timely gift.
  • Budget tracking — monitor gift spending by recipient.
  • Search and organize — filter saved ideas and tag them by recipient.
  • Sync — sign in with Google to keep saved ideas with your account.

Supported browsers​

The extension is built with the WXT framework and React, targeting Chrome, Firefox, and Edge (with a conversion path for Safari). It uses the same Google account as the rest of GiftSpark.

How it fits with the app​

The extension is the capture surface; the app is where gifting comes together. Save an idea while browsing, then organize it into a wish list, registry, or group gift inside GiftSpark. The events calendar reminds you when it's time to act on what you saved.
